Task: Tecan, a leading manufacturer of automated laboratory instruments and solutions, approached holm° to redesign the perception of its brand in the public areas of its headquarters in Männedorf in the canton of Zurich.

Challenge: The existing use of the spacious areas was neither functional nor did it reflect the company's prestigious position in the industry. Significant acoustic problems and varying space utilization requirements had to be resolved, while at the same time ensuring that the design reflected Tecan's status as a market leader. In collaboration with Naomi Hajnos Architects We made the necessary architectural changes to realize our vision.

Result: The lobby now has a fresh, inviting, and natural aesthetic that reflects Tecan's corporate design colors and offers an inviting view into the show lab. The space is regularly used for town hall meetings and external guest events. The adjacent showroom displays state-of-the-art products. The nearby meeting rooms are equipped with modern communication technology and flexible furniture and are suitable for a variety of meeting formats. These newly designed rooms now embody Tecan's present and future and bring a smile to the faces of customers and employees when they enter the building.
