The garage of a villa from the 1920s becomes a hygge oasis
The task: A loyal customer approached us with a unique challenge: to transform a former garage into a characterful retreat that would reflect her personality in her new home.
The challenge: The room needed to fulfil multiple functions - work, relaxation and visiting friends - while integrating a minimal kitchen near the entrance without compromising on space or flexibility.
The result: We upgraded the kitchen with a sleek, functional island, seamlessly blended existing and new cabinetry, complemented it with stylish rugs and created an inviting atmosphere with carefully placed lighting and select artwork. The home now features an inviting kitchen, a breakfast and reading area, a large dining room, an intimate living area and a sleeping area with an adjoining walk-in wardrobe.
“If you want to furnish your home in a Scandinavian/Nordic style and create a "hygge" feeling, you can't go past Holm. My living ideas/needs were optimally recognised and implemented during the consultation. With the Danish classics, I have not "only" brought pieces of furniture but also a bit of Scandinavia and holiday feeling into my home.”
