Nordic Talk – The luxury of lightness

Some people associate luxury with glamour and excess. For us, it is reflected in genuine materials, timeless style, and the comfort of being at home. In this edition of our Nordic Talks Let's talk about the Nordic lifestyle — and how you can experience it.

Less show, more soul

F: Why is the Nordic style so special?

A: Because it doesn't shout loudly, but quietly convinces. It's not about showing off, but about feeling good. Instead of the „wow effect,“ it's more about the „aah effect.“ Rooms that you don't just look at, but really enjoy living in—that's the difference.

Luxury for living

F: So for you, luxury doesn't mean „the more, the better“?

A: Exactly. For us, luxury isn't about glittering excess, but rather the good feeling of having treated yourself to something really nice. Something that lasts, that becomes more beautiful the longer it's there. Luxury that doesn't get on your nerves after three months.

Character, with patina

F: And how important are the materials in this process?

A: Very important. Because only good materials acquire this special character over time. You can see and feel that they are alive. Oak with small marks tells stories. Brass acquires dignity. That makes the difference between „used“ and „loved.“.

Hygge. Not just pretty.

F: And that's why Scandinavians seem so relaxed?

A: Yes, maybe that's exactly why. Living in a home that isn't designed for others, but for yourself, is relaxing. You don't have to prove anything to anyone, not even yourself. We call that hygge.

The quiet luxury

True luxury does not need to be flaunted. It manifests itself in timeless forms, authentic materials, and spaces that you can feel. The Nordic lifestyle does not focus on excess, but on substance: on things that become more beautiful over time and give you a sense of belonging. Luxury for people who know what is important to them.
