The Lily

Arne Jacobsen - Fritz Hansen

Fritz Hansen has reintroduced another one of Arne Jacobsen's famous chairs to the market: the Series 8, the 3108 or, if you prefer, the Lily. The eye-catching Series 8 that has been out of the market for many years was originally made for the Danish National Bank in 1968, but it didn't take long before it also became widely popular within the private homes. Series 8 is available in various versions: in painted beech, coloured ash, lacquered as well as upholstered.

The Series 8 is also available with armrests with the typical four legs (the 3208) we know from his other chairs, as well as with a swivel base on castors (the 3218). We are showing the regular Series 8 without armrests in dark brown as well as the Series 8 with armrests and four-leg base in red. During 2010 there is an introductory price on the 3108 in black or dark brown painted beech of CHF 657, so if you are considering adding this jewel to your home, don't wait around for too long.
