Dorte Mandrup

Danish Architect

holm° had the privilege to host an evening with the Danish architect Dorte Mandrup on Thursday November 19th, during which she introduced the guests to some of her work for the public sector in Denmark. Among others, she introduced us to the planning and realization of the common house in Herstedlund, the rebuilding of Munkegårdsskolen by Arne Jacobsen and the Holmbladsgade sports and culture centre in Copenhagen.

Dorte Mandrup has received many prizes in the past, which is easy to see when you get to know her work more closely. She graduated from the Aarhus School of Architecture in 1991 and set up Dorte Mandrup Arkitekter in 1999. For those of you who missed out on this truly Danish evening, there is more information on Dorte Mandrup's website and there is also a portrait of her work available through Arkitektens Forlag.
