PK0 & PK60 - archive icons

Two of Poul Kjærholm’s most iconic masterpieces: the PK0 chair and the previously unreleased PK60 coffee table are introduced in the Fritz Hansen 150th-anniversary collection.

The one-of-a-kind PK0 chair was designed in 1952 and so far only released once in 1997 in a limited edition of 600 pieces worldwide. Challenging conventional chair forms, the iconic design elevates modern spaces with its sculptural shape. Poul Kjærholm designed it at the very beginning of his tenure at Fritz Hansen. The chair is offered in Oregon pine and black coloured ash, both of which are fitted with cinnabar red spacers as a contrast to the wood, just as in the original drawings by Kjærholm.

Poul Kjærholm’s previously unreleased PK60 coffee table is a lasting tribute to aesthetics and function and a striking piece of modern design history. Perfectly proportioned, three pieces of black coloured ash or Oregon pine are shaped into one united base. Poul Kjærholm’s PK60 is a significant piece of mid-century Danish design that combines talented craftsmanship with innovation. Conceived at Fritz Hansen in 1952 together with the PK0 chair, Fritz Hansen now introduces the previously unreleased coffee table as part of their 150th-anniversary celebration.
