Kasthall. A Swedish carpet manufacturer that has been crafting designer carpets, runners, and custom-made pieces with exceptional precision since 1889.
Textile craftsmanship for spaces with more tranquility, structure, and depth.
Since 1889, Kasthall has been synonymous with Swedish carpet artistry of the highest caliber. Production continues to this day in Kinna, a historic textile region in western Sweden, where craftsmanship, expertise in materials, and industrial precision have come together for generations. In its own factory, the company creates woven and tufted designer rugs, runners, and custom-made rugs, crafted from carefully developed yarns and with a keen sense of color, texture, and spatial impact.
A defining moment in Kasthall’s history was its collaboration with Ingrid Dessau, whose graphic clarity played a key role in shaping the brand’s identity. Over the decades, Gunilla Lagerhem Ullberg continued to develop the collections, complemented by international designers such as Ilse Crawford and David Chipperfield. In this way, Kasthall combines textile mastery with architectural thinking and a rare precision in handling proportion, rhythm, and material.
Collections such as Häggå, Arkade, and Moss showcase this expertise particularly well. They bring clear structures, controlled color gradients, and material density to a space, which not only create visual order but can also improve acoustics.
We carry Kasthall because these rugs do more than just cover a floor. They lend living rooms, dining areas, bedrooms, and high-end interior design projects a sense of stability, warmth, and depth. Understated, technically sophisticated, and with a confidence that stems from true manufacturing expertise.
