Fritz Hansen. A Danish design brand that has been combining iconic furniture, architectural clarity, and precision craftsmanship since 1872.
Scandinavian icons with an architectural presence.
Fritz Hansen is one of the most influential international brands in Scandinavian design. Since 1872, the Danish company has combined its artisanal heritage with industrial innovation. Icons such as the Egg Chair, the Swan Chair, and the Series 7 by Arne Jacobsen have shaped the look of modern interiors worldwide—with clear forms, consistent construction, and a style that continues to set trends to this day.
The Series 7, in particular, demonstrates just how functional and elegant a dining chair can be: lightweight, stackable, and yet so precisely proportioned that it works equally well in private dining areas and in architectural projects.
Equally central is the work of Poul Kjærholm, whose designs—ranging from precise steel structures to organic forms such as the design classic PK9—focus on material and structural integrity. Steel, leather, and glass are not used for decorative purposes but are conceived as structural elements. This structural rigor continues to shape the brand’s identity to this day.
At the same time, Fritz Hansen is continually expanding its collection, for example with designs by Cecilie Manz, who translate that same discipline into a contemporary design language. In this way, Fritz Hansen remains not stuck in the past, but open to new design possibilities.
Fritz Hansen is thus more than just a manufacturer of iconic furniture. The collection provides spaces with a sophisticated setting—international, precise, and timelessly relevant.
