Let’s start off with the most obvious piece of furniture in a bedroom: the bed. holm° is working together with one of the leading bed producers in Sweden: Carpe Diem Beds of Sweden. The name says it all: “Good days start at night”. Sleep is directly related to how you feel during your waking hours and this makes your bed incredibly important. Carpe Diem was founded by a chiropractor, who wanted to make sustainable impact on his clients' quality of life, by providing them with a great bed. Embracing Favn

holm° has a fantastic new sofa on display. Favn is the Danish translation for embrace and the result of an experimental dialogue between Fritz Hansen and Jaime Hayón.
“Favn is picking up from the long tradition of Arne Jacobsen in the sense that I wanted to create a form that was based on a shell, like the Egg and the Swan which looks equally beautiful from all angles.” Hayón says. “A shell being hard on the outside, soft and welcoming on the inside. I wanted to create a form that embraces you, something really organic – that’s why we named it Favn.” Favn is completely Hayón as much as it is Fritz Hansen. It definitely carries Hayón’s signature at the same time as it echoes the shapes of great masters such as Arne Jacobsen and Finn Juhl. Don’t miss trying out this sofa, one of the first to come on the market and reinforce the new trend of using two-seaters instead of landscape sofas at home.
Favn is available in one size only (221 cm wide) and in 10 different colour combinations (light grey, sage green, clear beige, taupe, chocolate, moutarde, red, violet, dark blue and black). holm° displays the taupe version in the showroom. The price is around CHF 8'200, depending, as always, on the development of the euro exchange rate.

holm° hat ein fantastisches neues Sofa in der Ausstellung: Favn. Favn heisst auf Dänisch Umarmung und ist das Resultat eines experimentellen Dialogs zwischen Fritz Hansen und Jaime Hayón. Favn nimmt das Erbe Arne Jacobsens in dem Sinne auf, dass es wie das Ei und der Schwan auf einer Schale basiert, die aus allen Winkeln gleich schön aussieht. „Eine Schale, die aussen hart und innen weich und einladend ist. Ich wollte eine Form schaffen, die einen umarmt, etwas wirklich Organisches – deshalb nannten wir es Favn“, sagt Hayón. Favn ist genauso Hayón wie Fritz Hansen. Es trägt deutlich Hayóns Handschrift, aber eben auch Elemente von Arne Jacobsen und Finn Juhl finden sich wieder. Versäumen Sie es nicht, dieses Sofa auszuprobieren; eines der ersten, das den Trend, sich vermehrt wieder Zweisitzer in die Stube zu stellen statt Sofalandschaften, prägt.
